new blog just launched!!!

Hi guys!!!

I am SO excited to share with you the amazing news that Socially In has now moved onto bigger and more fun things! I have recently launched my new blog, Mallary Bee, and would LOVE for you to check it out and share your feedback.

Starting Socially In my senior year of college, I had no idea how much that blog would empower me in my career and allow my creative mind to run freely. It was a passion of mine, one I loved and grew from. Mallary Bee is an extension of Socially In, plus so much more!

I hope you follow along and love the content I am sharing. Soon I will be doing a giveaway in celebration of the new launch so come check it out!

Bloomingdales - Ask A Friend Facebook Poll

I love Pinterest, who doesn't!? What started off as a skeptical approach to this social media craze... has now turned into my new obsession. Now sure if this is a good/healthy obsession since all I want to do is go shopping, but I am happy about it. 

While Pinteresting this morning, I was taken to Bloomingdales.com and found their new social sharing widget located on the right hand side of the screen. The hotpink "Ask A Friend" caught my eye and of course I clicked "Tell Me How" to see more. 

Ask A Friend allows you to create a Facebook poll with your friends showing off 2-4 items that you are thinking of purchasing on Bloomingdales.com. Don't worry, this set of friends is selected by you so you do not have to share with your whole Facebook friends list. (Good thing!) The best part about this, is you don't have to watch the poll and keep going back to Facebook, you will receive an email with the results after 48 hours. Which is the perfect amount of time to still purchase your items while they are still fresh in your mind or on your wish list.

Would you use Bloomingdales Ask A Friend feature to get your friends opinions? Or would you use a different form of social media for this, like Pinterest? I would love to hear your thoughts.
